Kayak Fishing web sites

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Kayak Fishing web sites

Post by troutbum »

I know more than a few of you use a Kayak for fishing. Any local sites??
bought a fishing kayak off a member of this board last summer. Really enjoy it, got the itch.
Pretty sure the boat will be parked a lot this year

Read one of these magazine and you will be hooked for the rest of your live.
There is no need for the boat. There are yakers that after tasting the yak, sold the boats. If you get a fishing kayak, the boat is usesless.

A finshing kayak give you access to places where the boat can't go.
Stealth mode at his best.

Thanks Guys
Can't wait for spring, get back into to some small out of the way trout lakes. This thing is the cats meow. I used to use a float tube for those lakes, but no more

What kayak did you pick up Troutbum? While I've never gotten into tubes or pontoons, you're correct that a kayak is the cat's bum to fish out of for any species - mudpout to marlin! Lots of folks to get out with on Yakfisher as well, spin by and say Hi :D

It is a Native Watercraft Ultimate. Handles great and very comfortable. Can use just a front or rear spray skirt or full or wide open like a canoe, depending on weather and what you're using it for.

Don't rush to buy any fishing kayak. Do your homework. There are tons of fishing kayaks out-there. Tons of features also to chose. Don't buy on impulse. Buy after you decide what is the best for you. The above mentioned magazine has a list of over 100 models, each one with different features, design.
Personaly I like the ones that alow me to fish, stand up, strech, jump, have a nap, sit confortable and has plenty of storage room.
Enjoy.

Check out www.kayakfishingtales.com There's a new, 2-3 minute 'how-to' video posted every 2 weeks, and a bunch of it is shot around the Ottawa area.
Enjoy!
