It was tough fishing out there indeed and with our boat troubles and lack of pre-fishing we just couldn't get on any decent fish. We had a great year finishing 12th overall and will be back next year.
A huge thanks to Pete for lending us his boat for the weekend and coming to the rescue!!
Wow – what an unbelievable weekend! First, I want to thank Bryan for being such a solid partner all year and putting up with any teasing that may have come his way for fishing with a girl – especially when she drove the boat! Didn't turn out to be such a bad thing! I also want to thank my husband Mike who this past weekend was my biggest supporter and believed in me enough to lend me his boat so we’d have good electronics on the weekend. I’m amazed by the support I received from so many of my fellow competitors and I’m honoured to be able to compete against you guys – some of the best anglers in Canada! It was so great to have a lot of friends and family at the weigh-in yesterday. I will relive those moments when we won for a long long time!
Right now I’m exhausted, I’ve got bruises on my stomach from the butt end of the rod, cuts all over my hands and arms from the bass and a smile on my face that nobody can take off!
Thanks to everyone for all the congratulations!
I love smallmouth fishing!!!!
************************ Scott - A bad day on the water is better than a good day in the office.....
- Every day can be a fishing day, but not every day will be a catching day.......

That just made me SMILE. Once again, congrat's. There's a lot of people here who are really happy for you! WTG!

PS: and I thought I was the only one who got those bruises from hooksets... I feel better now!
Wolfe,
Yes, I seem to put a lot of pressure on my stomach when I'm reeling in that fish - I'll take the bruises though if it puts 4 lbers in the livewell!
Moosebunk,
Bryan a great guy - we've worked well as a team this year (of 1st fishing Renegade). Whether we're catching or netting we both give it our all and it certainly paid off!
Yesterday was still pretty emotional and overwhelming but I think I'm starting to come down off Cloud 9!

Now there is a great name for your boat! " Cloud Nine"
Of course, now all of the nut-bars will be putting surveillance cameras and GPS tracking units all over your boat so you'll have to keep it under armed guard!
