Fishing Interrupted??

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hi Margie

Hi

I don't want to seem too familiar since we have never had an exchange, but.........isn't this why they invented the "ROCKET FISHING ROD".? It made no sense until now

Good news that you don't need surgery!!
I can relate to your frustration - been there a few years back myself...

The 4-6 weeks should pass quickly, hope the pain subsides quickly -do take it easy on the hand in the meantime...

Positive note - the autumn season makes for FABULOUS fishing and scenery - you'll be all fixed up for the fall bass feeding frenzy...

Not exactly a lucky "break" but better than goin under the knife! I think they still give you a leather strap to bite down on! lol Course next to childbirth it should be a walk in the park! Make hubby take you for ice cream after(hand fed of course).

Hope it all goes well for ya Margie! Joe.

Good news, bad news for sure, and prayers are on their way albeit late. (I don't hang out here much in the soft water season...)

Even Superman couldn't dodge THAT bullet when he was on his horse.........Horses should be measured in dozens and kept inside motors I reckon.

BUT if you are still headed up to your cottage, we will be up there with the recommended outfitter from 12 to 26 July and I PROMISE some Doctor Doug's Home Remedy will promote healing. :D

:( Sorry to hear of your tumble and injury, Margie. Glad you don't need surgery, and hoping you are a fast healer.

Take care.

just back from the hand specialist...old cast off and a new set of xrays of both hands to compare ligament spaces.

good news: no surgery necessary...doctor thinks the stretched ligaments will recover in time.

meanwhile...new cast back on for the fractured wrist x 3 more weeks and then a recheck. probably some light therapy after that. i asked the doctor if therapy could include fishing. i don't think that's what he meant, but fishing is definitely my (mental) therapy!

thx for all the friendly thoughts and concern.

no fishin' for now. it'll be tough to wait.

Hey Wolfe,

Sorry to hear this news...

Ahh, you'll be back on the saddle - and boat - in no time. Tough timing for sure, but at least you can still get out on the water with the family..albeit in a spectator capacity and cheerleader of sorts..

All the best,

Justin

thx guys.

justin, "...boat cheerleader" ... to heck w/ that. i want to be the one reeling them in.

off to the cottage this wknd for a bit more of an extended stay. have all of brian's family coming up next week. we'll have 7 kids between the ages of 4 and 11. yikes.

joe, i am spared washing dishes / pots on account of keeping the cast dry. it's one of the few perks of the injury.

happy fishin' all.

w.
