Grand River report - Dunnsville

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Grand River report - Dunnsville

Post by Cracker »

I had a great time. :D

I caught my first wally (3lbs), a sheepshead, an 8 lb carp, and a 15.8 channel cat!
I have some pictures, but I haven't a clue how to put them up. What was funny was that I caught them all on the same purple/blue wally diver.
I even hooked a discarded fishing line, when I pulled it out a live 10 lb cat was on the hook!

I guess I'm ready for Muskrat!!!

That is a great mix bag of fish. I'm planning on spending a little time on the grand this season too.

If you'd like, you can email your pics to me and I'll post em for you. mkehoe@fernlea.com

i'd love to see them.

SOunds like you had a good day. Were you fishing the rapids at the dam, the eddies behind it, or down river ? And were you casting or trolling?

How can you not kiss a face like that!!!! They were all gorgeous. :D
We were trolling below the dam near the Esso sign. The other two guys in the boat only caught one wally between them. They were both using divers too, just not purple! 8)

 Somehow I missed this post. Good fish and I guess I should add the hot colour of walleye diver to my collection for the next time I head down.
