I think we're ready to go into the mushroom business here. They're sprouting up everywhere: in the gardens, the lawn, the woods...

Hi Joco,

Sorry to her of your wet vacation.

I was finally able to get an Old Town canoe, (used-can't afford new) and haven't been out in it much. Blame the weather.

Finally went out and bought a good pair of lightweight rain pants to go with the jacket...........Now am ready!!............But it really won't bother me a whole lot if it stops raining. The rain pants won't go bad.

Better days, Joco, we hope.

Jigs.

I was supposed to go to Calabogie Lake tomorrow.............But the weather is not cooperating...

This weather is CRAP......so Sunday it may be okay, but you never know up there, the weather changes every few hours. Rain, to Sun, Rain to sun, repeating itself all year.

I pray I'll be able to fish on Sunday and enjoy myself out in the big boat, since I haven't been out in the boat more than 1 time in many years, and it's a nice place to fish from due to the comfort and size.

Hopefully I'll bring home my first wild fish meal in years and enjoy it. We shall see!

Hope the weather will be nice for everyone who is fishing this weekend!

Take care everyone!

Joco, with regard to those yellowish-green mushrooms, I worry about my dog, too, as he's young and likes to chew on most anything. I try to rip them out and toss them down the "back 40".

Anything with a putrid color like the undersides of those mushrooms must be toxic...you'd think so, anyway!

Hopefully, I'm not making any gnomes or toads homeless...

Looks like the weather is supposed to like this for the rest of the week. Saturday seems to be the best day for the weekend.

Good (dry) here for 1-1/2 days. Then another boomer and downpour around the dinner hour today. Bright side: a beautiful rainbow over the lake afterwards.

The weeds and mosquitos don't seem to have any problem with the rain. :?
