biting critters
Hi all. GARLIC does work and real well.
My mother fed and befriended a fox for three years or so. The first spring his neck was running red from the flies and was really tormented. Mom started feeding him garlic daily. (he actually preferred the garlic laced food). The next spring his coat was blood free and was not bothered by the flies.
Thought I would share.

black flies
the only bug repellant the i found to work is watkins insect repellent lotion . it fairly expensive at about 15.00$ for 240 ml but its well worth the price. when it keeps the black flies & mosquitoes away in may when i am up at westmeath it got to be good. check it out.
