For those who unsure Lake X's are the trout lakes in the Calabogie areas... when do you think they'll be ice free.

Shiner Lake and Limestone Lake will probably still have ice on them right now... was thick this year. Probably the same for Scully and Long too.

Some great trout fishing to be had in those lakes. Easily accessible too, especially Shiner as its right beside the road. Limestone isn't too bad either though a truck is best for sure but I got in there before in a Subaru Legacy. Its great to have those lakes so close to Ottawa... easy for anybody to go trout fishing!

Can't wait to go back to Shiner this year! Definitely going to hit up Limestone and Long Lake as well!

just got back from calabogie, still ice. found some awesome lakes and some great bush trails, the jeep really helps out. met a few locals great to chat with. going back in two weeks
