A Bump in the Road for Big Jim...

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Just got off the phone with Jim and all I can say is man what a positive and upbeat guy, you wouldnt know there was a problem. He called me to tell me he would absolutely still do the MC duties for the derby as long as he is not incapacitated. I believe these things are what keeps him going.

Be strong Jim and we will talk to ya soon.

I hope this isn't too serious for the BIG guy. Jim is a great ambassador for our sport and I'm sure anyone who knows him is sending there prayers and wishing him well. I always enjoy watching him eat chicken at Ed's  and joke around with the kids at the Minto Pond. If anyone is talking to him wish him the best and make sure he see's this post from all of us.

I don't know Jim, but I'm a big fan of the work he does for fishing. My thoughts are with him and his family in this difficult time.

Hi Jim,

although I don't know you personally, I have had the pleasure of your company on a couple outings with FH. I have seen you at shows, on the ice, and lakes and rivers.

The enthusiasm and class you bring to the sport is very evident whenever I 've seen you. I'd like to let you know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure if anyone can overcome such an incideous disease on shear spirit alone it is you.

God Bless and keep your hook in the water!

Jim,

I'm one of the many people who knows you only via the various fishing shows. I can still remember that a few years ago, my son was awestruck (literally) having met "the guy on the cover of the fishing paper". You encouraged my son to fish for the "big one" and asked him who catches the biggest fish and he said, "my dad". I remember cause he chattered about the "famous" fisherman all the way home. He was also impressed that I "knew" that guy. Made our day for sure.

Positive thoughts and best wishes.

John
