Lake Z ........March 19

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

That does look like a nice spot. It's always fun to try new lakes. Glad you found a couple of fish, anyway!

Beautiful golden colour to those crappies, good to see you've got a new spot. If you ever make it back out send us more pics. Thanks for the report.

Bowzog..Your Lake Z sure looks familiar. I plan on going there tomorrow in search of the shiners. I was there last Saturday and had the same results you had, did get one nice one in the 11" range. I will post a pic so we can compare your location pic and you can decide if it is the same place. Wish me luck. 8)

Well I got out yesterday as planned and is the ice ever taking a beating. Figure this will be that last weekend around here for ice fishing, unless you are the brave. Anyway I hoped for better results, but the gods were not with me. Caught a few crappie, and tons of small perch and managed only one keeper crappie that measured 12 1/2 inches. I will upload a pic of it and the bay/lake I thought was the same as your Lake Z, once I figure out "how to". Your secret lake is still safe. Well I found out "how to" thanks to suddsy and I throw in a pic of my icefishing outfit as well. :P

Cheers, Hawgbass
