is it spring yet?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Spring will be here when they drag my wet butt off the last ice floe on the Ottawa, or when the eyes season is closed, Which ever comes first.

I'm all for the soft water season (I miss it!), but I think with the hard water action really kicking into gear now, you are going to be hard pressed to find too many sympathists like myself.

Sympathists...is that even a word?!

(I'm not minding the cold so much as the stinkin' wind.)

I think the word you're looking for is 'sympathizers' 8)

I do look forward to carp fishing, but for now, viva la ice!

Hey there Wolfman,

I was annoyed with myself for not knowing and had to check. I guess it's a word after all!!

"Sympathist \Sym"pa*thist\, n.
One who sympathizes; a sympathizer. [R.] --Coleridge"

It's one of those words that looks funny and sounds funnier.

And with regard to the weather, have you folks seen what the people east of Lake Ontario have been getting in the way of snow. I think the latest tally is 78" (lake effect snow...it's CRAZY)!!

:D I only ice fish because its the only way to get at them this time of year. No complaints if someone turns up the thermostat.
