important notice to negative thinking ice anglers..

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hi Guys

I guess I can scrap my plans for putting potoons on my ice hut. My friend is coming up on the 25th from Toronto. Might still be dicey for getting my hut out by then though.

Steve the ice will be here to stay this time around. I see a stretch of 2-3 weeks of -25 to -30 deg, just like the good old days.

Drove down to Hay Shore for a look see and the ice cover already extends clear across the lake. Even the narrows at Lake Park Lodge is frozen right across. Less than a week ago I could envision the start of a bass tourney leaving the bay. A week of these temps and I smell two stroke cold smoke filling the air at our local lakes. Yes!

Still a small area of open water on the Rideau when I came across the 416 Bridge around 3:30 today. :( Temperature outside right now is +2. Lets hope that cold weather comes back in fast and hard :!:

snorkel and flippers????

Post by Big Jim »

Hey Braeside... that snorkel and flippers comment although I believe was made in jest.. has a kind of "Head Butt" ring to it so be careful you don't cross the line here and get negative waves going again...oops!! can I say waves...that would insinuate open water..

Speakng of big sticks....I still like Joe Don Baker in the first Walking Tall better then the ROCK...but I still like the Rock.

BIG STICK...I like that has a nice ring...just like a Head Butt...

When it comes to beer... in case(no pun intended) you haven't noticed...I have been full since about 1987..give or take a year.
