I can't believe it!
I can't believe anyone could even dream of hurting these beautiful creatures:
I spent some time in a breeding colony this past spring. It's a real experience. Almost like walking on the moon, I imagine, although I'm not sure how the moon smells. The ground is so spongy (from 6-8 inches of cormorant droppings) that the sensation is like partial weightlessness.
Note the luxurious foliage on the trees where they nest:
As for the taste, I imagine it's more of a cross between smallmouth and perch, at least in the St. Lawrence.
