Top Water Ski
Headed out last night to chuck around the Super Raider I picked up at Sports Action, lots O nice stuff there. In the past weeks I have had the fish pretty much figured out. Found a great area full of bait and cover and the fish were there. Have boated several muskies in those weeks and many more 30" + northerns. Things have been good, other than the fact that we had lost a few large fish
Due to weather had decided to troll around a mid river point to start, but she was just a wee bit choppy out there for good presentation. We decided to move out of the wind a bit and cast around some shallow weeds. First cast my dad lands a rather skinny but fiesty 39" northern nice start. Enter the Super Raider. I toss it over a small patch of cabbage and crank, plop, gurgle, plog, gurgle, KABOOM, completley out of the water without the bait. !@##$%$%%%, breath, !@@!##$$. Rarley do the come back for a second swipe, hence all the !@#@#%^%%%^%. I guess it was my night, just 3 or 4 casts later, the water explodes again and this time she got it. Some violent head shakes on the surface, a couple good runs and some boatside antics, and I am rewarded with this beaut. Very chunky solid fish, and fatty season has just begun
Cheers
P.S. would post more picks of the northerns and other skis but with dial up I would be dead by the time they uploaded

Relic,
Ohhh, how jealous I am...
That's a gorgeous fish. Congrat's.
I'm pretty jealous of your Dad's huge (skinny, who cares?) pike as well...but still happy for you guys!
By the way Relic; you look like Clint Eastwood on a musky hunt in that pic.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
