Check out this for map:http://fish-hawk.net/hawktalk/viewtopic.php?t=19055

Charleston has Lake trout, smallmouth and largemouth bass as well as pike, perch and pannies. The Lake trout fishing is pretty good as well as the smallmouth.

To catch trout in July you are probably going to need to have a downrigger to get deep enough for them. They can be anywhere from 40 feet down to 130 feet down. Most spoons with silver and white or green or blue or gold usually work pretty good.

As for the smallmouth they can be deep at this time of year as well but in the evening they are just off the drop-offs and around rockpiles and weed beds.

Anyways,
Good luck

Charleston Lake Provincial park has some nice camp sites... 2nd week of July may be tough to get a site but you never know..best chance if your mid week.

If the fishing is slow,, the scenery is always great. You can always find a bay/cove to tuck into for a snooze. The park beach is descent as well if you have kids. And there is a smaller park beach that is boat accessable at the north west end of the lake.

There are also a few islands and points that are owned by the park set up for day use as well.

As NK stated , the Lakers can be good but the will be deep by then.. The small mouth can also be good.

As far as maps go,,also check out the traks maps..

They have a nice laminated one of the lakes...shows the depth changes very well.

For walleye...your out of luck on this lake..
