Hey I was just wondering where everybody will be headed for bass opener. I know its a bit early to ask this but what the heck. I have no plans yet for opener so if anyone wants someone to fish with for the opener im here :lol:

So where are you headed? largemouth or smallmouth?

Wow.. good question. That actually causes a lot of debates. I now live in Peterborough but I've never missed the Long Point Bay opening derby. Decisions, Decisions!

I'm heading to Lake Clear for the opener in this area. I will be going to New York in May to fish Lake Erie for smallies though :D . I can't wait for that, but it's sure going to suck coming back here and waiting until June for our opener. :cry:

Ottawa river openner friday June 24\
June 25 Pre fish St. Lawrence for Renegade
June 26 Renegade Pro AM
June 28 Pre Fish on St. Lawrence.
July 1 Calabogie Lake
July 3 Renegade Bass on St. Lawrance

Can't wait, Want to play now :twisted:

jignpig, what area's of the bay do u fish?

we normally fish the big bay area, but lately have found us concentrating more on Hay Bay.

Big Bucket mouths...

Whitefish, Dog & Cranberry lakes.

Then weekend 2... straight north for Smallies in Joesph and Muskoka.

I`ll be on Quinte fishing for largies with my 2 kids...been taking them on opener now for 8 yrs.They are already talking about it!!! 2 more hooked!!!
I`ll be in Hay Bay somewhere/maybe out of Belleville this time.
Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
