My First Fish Report of the year

Post by Fishing Freak »

After what felt like a life time, of not being able to go fishing, I finally hit the ice tonight for 2 hrs. A friend calls from work telling me he's heading out to check out the perch on our small lake.

He ask's how the back is today, I respond by saying: as long as i don't have to walk I'm in. :D

Well, we get there at 3pm, he drills 10 holes for me while I slowly unload the gear from the van.

He drills 15 holes for himself, And we proceed to fish.

First 1/2 hr, 4 hits and 2 LM bass, no perch.

Very shortly after switching to a small jig, green in colour, I pull in 5 nice size perch. My bud gets 2 more LM, and 4 Perch.

For the next hour I pick up the odd keeper. 14 nice perch came home for my first feed of the year. :D :D :D

My back held up pretty good for the lenght of time out.
Fishing is and awesome pain releiver, if done in moderation.

Sorry no pics today, forgot the camera, and really wasn't expecting a whole lot of fish to be taking pics of. Next time I'll bring the camera, just in case. :D

FishingFreak,

I'm happy to hear you were able to get out and catch some fish. Back held up, after all. :D

Hope you can get a good groove going and get back out soon (ice permitting)! Bring the camera along next time.

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Thanks Wolfe

It's only been 2 days that I've been able to walk upright. Sitting has been OK, to a point.

I just needed to get out so bad.

I had to give it a shot, to see if fishing was done for the winter, so far so good.

I'm not going to hit the ice as much this year, I have to make sure eveything is good to go for the walleye opener. :D

Have plans to get WallyBoss out for a walleye trip. Can't let the man down.
