Big Jon Planner Masts - Looking for a deal

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Turkeyman was going to buy a few more for the rest of us, but felt his wife would rather him save the money for a nice outing....

A good Husband you have there Mrs Turkeyman.

He got his just before the big price increase. Something to do with the dollar and the price of aluminum. We should have got them then to eh guys. Hindsight and all that.

.......I really don't think damage control is gonna work here......

I'm afraid Turkeymans's, .......... "goose", ......is cooked....

With that out of the way, .....if we can get them for under $300, ...taxes included, ....

I'm pretty sure, .....I'd take advantage of that.......

Good news (sort of) for those needing the seat adapter for the Planer Board mast. I got mine this evening. The bad news is it was $33.00 Cdn for the unit and $23Cdn for shipping & duty!!!!
If you need one and are afraid that they may be discontinued, I suggest trying to get one from your local tackle supplier first.
At least I'm ready now to get the mast whenever you guys are.

I'd be in depending on price - I'd be interested in boards and clips as well.

Already buying a few big ticket items for spring during this hardwater season such as a new bowmount and Lowrance X107C DF.
But I think the system would make for a greast February b-day gift

Any update on price would be great.

Cheers,
Gman

hey guys/gals,
not sure if anyone is interested or not but I have a set of big jon planer reels laying in my garage. I was going to install them to a set of aluminum poles (have them also) and mount them to my boat. Instead I purchased a set of electric planer reels. If anyone is interested and wants more details or pics...email me at kingme@frontiernet.net

I haven't done anything on it because it seemed to me that people wanted to wait til after Christmas. As far as I know the price hasn't changed from what I posted previously.
Some guys didn't believe it so I was gonna get it in writing, but I don't want to bug the guy until we're ready.

Just got my riviera planer board mast with the automatic reels. It is a 7ft teloscopic, came with 150ft of 200lbs test line allready on the reels, the base to plug right into my unilock seat base, and it came with 2 or10, and 2 or30 releases. It cost a bit more than the others you have talked about but it has the automatic reels on it, pluged right into my seat base and came ready to go right out of the box. I got it direct from riviera.
