NEW PB at BOQ (Nov 20th)
NEW PB at BOQ (Nov 20th)
Well I finally got out on Quinte with ET....and it was well worth the wait.
It was a slow day - but I did manage to shatter my personal best - with this great fish.
It was 11.5 pounds and 29.5" long.
Here is a shot of the mouth of the big fish...
It came on a Clown Yozuri minnow
I could not imagine reeling in 10 of those in a day - although the quality equipment ET uses - made it a great fight - the G-Loomis rods where really great - you could feel every head shake the fish made.
Thanks to Sheldon for helping me shatter my old PB of 5 pounds...and showing me the whole planer board system - it was an excellent trip.
We met up with Hoss, MT and FFF at the launch to top off the great day - it was great to meet you guys.
Thanks again ET....this will not be my last trip to Quinte.

Smitty,
Glad we landed a personal best for you. It was starting to turn a little ugly out there when the wind came out of the North. As always I love to see the reaction first time quinte anglers make when they first see a walleye a few feet from the boat...Smitty did not let me down! I think it was something like "WOW!...look at the size of that walleye"
Glad you liked using the G-Loomis walleye trolling rods, they sure make a difference with those big Quinte eyes...
Hopefully we can get out again in the future and beat that PB...
cheers'
