Rockland Rumble Pictures and even more pictures

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'll second Crawler's comments!! I had a blast eventhough the bite wasn't strong for team 10. This was my first F.H. outting but definitely not my last!!!

It was also nice meeting everyone. You guys are a great bunch! Sorry I couldn't make it out to M.T.s afterwards....maybe next time.

Here's the results for those patiently waiting:

Bass:

1st Mikey 5lb 4oz
2nd RJ 4lb 8oz

Pike:

1st Brad 36"
2nd Bacon 30"

There were quite a few 4lbers caught and a few pike just below the 30" mark. It was a slow day for most but everyone had a great time. The weather played a role but took a back stage for most of the day with heavy rain and strong winds staying away.

I fished with spinner and the best two fish we could manage were a 3lb 10oz smallie and 3lb 5oz largemouth. We hit a great spot a few minutes before we had to get back to the launch and must have had 6-7 bites in a small hole all within 10 minutes. I think spinner lost a moster bass that could have taken the lead... i guess we'll never know.

Thanks to all who attended and made this a great event. We really have to do this again. Perhpas a spring Pike Rumble in Rockland is in order

Thanks for a Great Day to ALL the FishHawk Gang.
Sorry I couldn't stick around longer for post fish activities and get to meet more of this Gang of Good Fisherpeoples.
Congratulations to Mikey and RJ for securing the Bass TOP honours and to Bradford and Bacon on pulling in the Pike Slime.
My partner and I had a reasonable Largemouth at 4lb 4oz.
Lets get something going for a Spring Pike and Walleye do on the Ottawa out of Rockland just a one day event.
Gotta say thanks to the weatherman for kinda cooperating with us for a day at LONG Last.
Not HOT WINDY or Hailing.

We had such a fun day out there...

We blasted off and got to our spot in 2 min. :D Had our fist fish before the over 80 hp boats took off!

Within 20 mins Snag had a PB Smallie..you'll see!

After that smallie we decided to head to my favorite spot and on the way we stopped to nail some Pike. I know where they live in this one place and can almost call it...on this day it kinda happend like that. Not a monster but hey not so bad.

and it gave us some money
Image

We creeped in and saw MT sitting in my spot so I decided to snake him and wham a 4 pounder...you can see it in his picks..Hey yelled at me a bit maybe some swearing under his breath

Then Snag nailed this beauty on the frog
Image

Minutes later and Misses is into one...
:o
In the words of FLOAT..Walleye what are you doing here???
She was to AFRAID to touch it cause it had big teeth...."chicks"
