Rumble Preview with Jazman today - pics

Post by Fishhawk »

I managed to get out with Jaz for a bit today to see if we could locate some fish for tomorrow.

They were far and few between but all of a sudden we were into a double header and fighting over who nets whose fish first - a deliteful dilemma after fishing hard but without much luck to that point...

And a few minutes later... something that makes me think we have found our pattern for tomorrow.

We giggled a little bit and then said "Let's get out of here - save the real big one for tomorrow".

It was painful out there with the wind pushing swells from the east. Looks like more kidney bashing in store for tomorrow.

Hey there Mike "CHICKEN-HAWK". Those bait fish you caught are going to need a few more crawdads and minnows if you want to have any hope of winning anything tomorrow at the "RUMBLE".
You won't have to worry about catching them again as their poor little jaws will be sore for a day.
Do you know the secret bait for tomorrow?
I'll bet it has something to do with a Jig and some part of a farm animal fished around a certain type of vegetation at this time of year, better if they are blackened.
See you all in the AM at Beautiful Rockland Boat Launch.
Secret for today GO SMALL GO SLOW

I forgot to mention,

I saw the biggest muskie I have ever seen in the water today.

I was just about to lift my bait out of the water and he/she was just there.... and big... no not world record insane big but 4 feet maybe big.... really awesome looking fish.

I was too stunned to do anything smart like a figure 8....

One tail swipe and was gone....

Nice bass there, guys. Hope the Rumble is rumbling along as I type this and that all are having a blast.

Looking forward to hearing all about it.

FH, don't worry. Men look "distinguished" with some grey...

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
