MONGO MUSKIE!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

MONGO MUSKIE!

Post by Cancatchbass »

Went out to dinner (anniversary), by boat, at a restaurant a couple of miles downriver from my home.

On the way back, I picked up this muskie:

Image

Didn't put up much of a fight for the size of her.

Sorry for the vertical hold, but I figured the fish wouldn't mind. And that's not a smile- it's a grimace at having to hold that heavy, wonderful fish at all.

The cleithrum will be put to good use.

CCB

There is a funny story connected to this that I'll try to post in the next couple of days.

CCB,

Happy anniversary... and what a monster fish. I look forward to reading the complete epic. I guess your wife is used to you coming home smelling a little fishy.

THIS IS SO SAD...

How big do you figure that fish to be, anyway (length/inches)?

I hope the data collected from all these dead fish can help solve the muskie mystery. It's a real shame.

On a brighter note: Happy Anniversary to you & your wife, CCB. :D

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

That thing has to go 60"
Very hard to beleive this high mortality is caused by water temp change.
