Great fish, but I wonder...
Is it OK to dangle a fish of that size by the jaw? If you're going to release it, shouldn't you get a hand under its belly to support the weight and keep it from thrashing around? I don't know, but it always bothers me when some TV pro does that, too.

the same guy released 1000 bass in a year.

Sparky, what is not good for them is when you twist their jaw from a vertical position. Some people also say that if they are big you should not hang them vertical because it puts their weight onto their backs, causing back problems. I read that in a muskie magazine, so I do not know if it applies to bass. I think it will be all right (if it was released!) It's good to have some concern for the fish though!
