Your biggest Walleye

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Walleye greats

Post by Duker »

My biggest is just shy of 12 pounds from quinte, Fall 2004. Caught on a green/chrome husky jerk. I think i was there when a few FH members were there actually. I kept hearing a few names i recognize from here.

 Well, that would be a 0 pound for me, haven't targeted or caught any of these. Lots of pike and bass and panfish, but no, walleyes. Looking to change that this year for sure.

My biggest won't turn any heads, but a 6-2 walleye out of a cold water northern lake like Jan is a PIG!
On the Sask River people I've been out with have landed some +10 bruisers, so far I'm still waiting for mine. Maybe this summer???
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

My biggest walleye was a 25 " long and was weighting 5 lbs I caught it on the opening day of the walleye season back in 2001 in the St Lawrence right at the causeway in Long Sault. And I caught that fish on a jointed rapala and it was at 10:00 pm. I lost a walleye this winter ho I guess was around 6 to 8 lbs right from the Nation river near Casselman.

Bottom Bouncing with a White/Chartreuse Floating Rapala on the North French River May 2002. Wanted to believe she was 8, but in reality was around 6 lbs. :)

hello. newb to the boards. about 5 years ago a buddy and me put in at Dover. it was a very slow morning. nothing happening at all. about 3 hours go by and i look back and say " HEY! that line ain't in the clip anymore!" i picked up the pole and heaved back on it. i said to my friend, "i think i'm snagged on something". i see way out back a very white object rolling around. long story short... 14 pound wally in the boat! my first and only (to this day) wally.

i consider myself lucky that i got this fish. hoping to get some more this year. i have never targeted pics before. sort of a bassman myself.

my biggest was a 12lber I was only 12 yrs old and couldn't care less
the worse thing about it was that I only had a minnow about a foot down
from a huge white and red bobber in about 20 feet of water, I'd try that now and nothing would even look at my minnow!!!!!
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!
