How`s the latest dumping of snow helping or hampering you?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

With last week`s snowfall, mild temps and rain, what`s the ice like where ever FHers are fishing!?

I'm not thinking about ice fishing as much as water levels this spring. Methinks we needed this snow.

On the Nation river the snow didn't hamper anything but the following rain made it all a mess!! Went to see my shack yesterday and had to jack it up some more cause of three inches of water above the skis.

I haven't been out once this season.
No time and frankly I have 0 trust in the ice.

I was told of some seriously good honey holes on the river behind one of my places. apparently holds a lot of quality fish. Including a HUGE walleye pic I was shown. By huge I mean 15lbs on the scale. It gets 0 pressure so I can't wait to try the validity of this in the spring.

I have spent all season using the gym, walking lots and generally focusing on my well being. Lots of family time and lots of reno's getting done.

All the snow removal also helps burn all the extra calories (if there is such a thing!)

15 lb Walleyes behind one of your "places"? Properties all over? That's some fish if from an inland lake.

Today was the first day of ice season. And snow and slush aside, it was a solid start. :D Could actually care less the top conditions as long as the ice below is thick enough.

#205lbs at prime. On the bench and on the gut.

I can only go by the pictures I was shown.

Its an Ottawa River Tributary so I am really not surprised.

I will correct that...the water body in question is behind my wife's house.

RJ: I'm positive you can press more than 70lbs...

I'm right there with you Ed! I was getting a bit worried there for a bit and with the added accumulation forecasted for tomorrow, there will be enough to help anyway.
