Does anyone know what time Murphy's Point opens?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Going to head out tomorrow and try for some Lakers, but I can't seem to find on their website what time the day use area opens. Thanks in advance if you know!

24 hrs. They have a box you can pay your $14 fee in.

Cool, that's what I like to hear. I'll be sure to put a report up tomorrow night.

Well, I got out on the Big Rideau this morning and had a pretty good day. We only fished for about 4 hours and while I didn't get any lakers, I did okay working the shorelines for pike. I was marking lots of fish 40-80 feet down in 70-120 FOW but couldn't manage any takes. I ran a bunch of different stuff off of the downriggers but I guess it just wasn't the day for me. I would've tried jigging but the wind was up a fair bit when we got there and boat control would've been impossible.

Still a beautiful lake though and all things considered, it was a good way to spend the morning.
