Quinte Smallmouth any good?

Alright so everybody heads to Quinte this time of year for the BIG EYE's . I have never been and would like to fish the deseronto area for smallmouth. Is it worth my 3 hour drive? Are the smallies active this time of year in the area?

Unless you are going to hop out in Lake Ontario I wouldn't waste your gas......you'll pass loads of great Smallie water on your way there.....equivalent or better.......

Thanks. This year with the new tow vehicle I have been lucky to visit many new places .

I will rethink my next destination who knows might end up ton the Quebec side .

iv been hearing this often this year!

I was talking to a guy at the Shermans Launch ramp last week and he was telling me that he had been doing REAL well up in Hay Bay, smallies to almost 5 lbs.

Just a comment about Quinte SM Bass.
