What a great day to wet some lines on the Ottawa River

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Are they trolling for pannies???
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

Forget the illegality of fishing OOS...I'm more concerned about the condition of that vessel. It appears to riding a little low on the rims.

Looks like Mark Hallam's boat.

Here's the link to his site with pictures of the same boat.

Yup, that was Chris and myself and it was a beauty day for sure! I was there last Tuesday too. It is great to be able to be boating so early this year. Normally the boat doesn't see water until the end of April after the ice goes out at the launch.

Chris and I were cat fishing in the creek mouth and were slowing motoring back out into the Bay to our next spot when Steve snapped the shot. No cats this week but they were there a week ago. The water temperature had dropped a fair bit from last week so we were checking along the first drop off out in the Bay for stacks.

Robert, the boat normally sits low in the water but it doesn't get blown around on windy days. She comes way up out of the water when you get up on plane though:
