Report and last weekends pics

Post by Fish'n Buddy »

Been a pretty good winter so far, weather has been great up until today, and the fishing was pretty fair too until this weekend. Managed to find a good perch hole yesturday afternoon and a buddy and I jigged up 15 or so and ate up half a dozen of them right out there in the shack. Hoping that walleye would move in to feed on the perch but I guess they were 80yards up river under Baz's Fish Trap  Nice fish Baz

Here are some pics though from last weekend

My first walleye of 2010 and the first out of my new shack 19'' 2.9lbs

But the FIRST walleye every caught out of my new shack wasn't caught by me, but my buddy , perfect eating size 17''

The big girl, 29'' a few ounces under 10

My biuddy Norm (the rookie) with his FIRST fish through the ice

And Shaun with a solid Northern

It's nice to land a walleye right in the shack

Then things got slow and even Boomhower was getting bored out there

Shacks on the move again though tomorow, hoping to get my Father in Law on some walleye this weekend.

You think you can get to it with the recent rain?

I live in Embrun by the Castor river where the 2 huts are by the bridge and the ice close to shore all broke off. Be careful if you do venture out there.
