i'm seeing quite a few these last couple years.now if they would only kill cormorants. great pics!

Bird-Addict,

we had 3 (bald) eagles fledge on Wolfe Lake this year in a big white pine on Whitefish Island...from the same nest. It was wild to watch them, especially the clumsy first practice flights and crash landings. They grow really quick, and are quite massive...all chocolate brown for the youngsters. It's always a thrill to catch sight of the adults; something I don't get tired or take for granted.

I was lucky a couple of weeks ago and got a shot of this Bald eagle

it was a long way off so with a little help from my zoom
