Quick report from my PB in Zimbabwe

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Awesome bass!

I didn't even know there was bass fishing in Africa. I did see an Izumi episode where he was bass fishing in Europe (I think it was Spain) so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Zimbo,

Those fish are incredibly big...easily over 10 lbs. So what lures do you use to fish down there and, if I can ask, what were you doing in Zimbabwe? Quite the adventurer. Thanks for the report on waters I will likely never be able to fish. Good stuff!

Tight Lines,

Thanks ratsotail, I was very lucky to have the chance to catch fish this size. I was born in Zimbabwe, lived there all my life, until August 08. My wife is from Canada, she was over in Zim on a Govt posting, we met, got hitched, then moved back here when her posting ended.

With regards to what lures, its all the same as here...Plastics...spinnerbaits...top-waters etc.

tight lines to all.

Ray.
