caught this bad boy on sturgeon lake this afternoon. i was sure it was 5 but i weighed it and it was just short of the 5 pound mark. still a good looking fish.

Was pitching a jig into a bunch of lay down logs in 4' of water. he didn't even give me a chance to react, he hit it so hard he set the hook himself.
i may or may not have screamed like a little girl... :lol:

Yes I have done it a few times a season. I always promise myself i'll do more of it but i tend to practice for the bass tournaments most of the time during the season and i'm too lazy to whip out the fly rod. my biggest LM on a fly rod is about 3pounds. nothing too exciting but it was fun.
