Yes you heard correctly. Although there was no rod on me this mourning we walk in to the baitshop was quite interesting considering the fact that there was no road to be seen . All I could see was water and its deep.
I was pleased to see numerous fish taking advantage of there new route saw a perch and a bunch of mudpout. Something even broke water infront of the baitshop a couple times.
For those who enjoy yak fishing it looks ideal. You can be the first fish on trim rd.
I will post pictures this evening. The water is too deep for most vehicles to cross but if you happen to be paddling by I will be around until 5

Ontario Power Generation can't hold back anymore.....there was a warning in our local paper on the weekend that quoted OPG stating:
"The Ottawa River is expected to crest in the next week and OPG has put out a warning for residents to expect increased water flow with the runoff from the northern parts of the river forcing the dams to open.
Ontario Power Generation's Ottawa/St. Lawrence Plant Group strongly advises users of the Madawaska and Ottawa Rivers to stay clear of its hydroelectric stations, damns and surrounding waterways. Due to the current high water levels, the probability of releasing large amounts of water at local dams over the next few weeks is now very high"

..the ottawa river will '' suposely peack next weekend.
the flow frome the north is starting to show up now.
IT could habve been a lot worst...beleive it or not that extrem hot temp was good for the flood.
a LOT off that water insted off flowing down it EVAPORATE in the air.
to ho and not humdie temperature make this happen good thing..at lest oje good thing.
but hot water that fast was not that good for flooding.
its still lower ten 6 years ago..but its coming to the point now..

its sad for everybody staying or having cottage/house/store close to water.
hope all those boats(stored) and ice shaks(stored) wont get floathing around at petrie..outch

I hope everything is ok at petrie and all over the shores.
the water still go up.
i hope we wont get to mutch rain tonight and this saturday.
its still lower then in 2002.
but it about 7 feet aprox higher then last august.at least could be in the 9 foot range to hight then the lowest frome last year...its will go down soon.
i hope so for eveybody that is in water now.
might be in the peack right now till this weekend.
