Hello All

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hello All

Post by Mountain Man »

Hello All. This my first official post. Although I have been reading the posts for quite awhile. I've read a few boards and this is by far the best. The information shared is really appreciated and I will try to do the same.
This is the boat. I'll be in it ...or I'm wet guy in the water...my son.. he'll be the teenager Lhao. :) were usually on Charleston gettin' skunked. I used to know how to fish. Really!

Welcome to our "gang"...glad to have you on board.

Any tips for pike in Charleston? I'm heading there soon!

Take care.

Nice welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I generally head out from the outlet on Charleston. I've just really got back back into sport fishing after long hiatus of busy life and raising a family (lots of sunfish). Its been great and wouldn't change a thing. Daughters are grown and my son hereto for know as Blue Mountain Boy  (CCB) is into fishing big. Graduated to his first ABU spinning setup thanks to CTC this week ( now a double fisted angler). Our plan this year is to use some live bait tipped lures to locate the fish. Last year was pretty tough with artificial only. Tried some senko's last year and couldn't believe they actually worked.
Plan for this season: Hoping to fish Westport area for walleye, Rideau Ferry area for LMbass, Rideau river for bass, walleye, musky and the St Larries for all of the above if I can tag along ( theres a lot water out there). Anyway that's the plan.(pending approval)..... :D
