Fishing Week-end - Kashwakamak Lake June 2,3,4

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

OK, trip is rapidly coming upon us and what should I bring?

Walleye and Pike, is there any must have things that I should bring?

Walleye, Jigging, bottom bouncers or casting baits, what seems to work on this water. IS there a must have color to have?

Pike, Spinners, spoons, must have colors?

Is there any must have things that I should have in my tackle box?

Food and BBQ,

Will they have a Q there or should I bring a portable Q or not. Or is every one just going to eat in the resteraunt?

Do we need to bring our own bedding and towels and stuff.

Beer? sorry I forgot that FishHawk was supplying that.

Rex according to the Fernleigh lodge website, they supply bedding for a fee. So, I'm assuming we need to bring that as well as towels. I was wondering about the BBQ myself, not sure. Might be a good idea to bring one along just in case.

From their web-site: http://www.fernleigh.on.ca/
Cabins are furnished with cooking utensils and silverware, as well as a refrigerator and stove. Blankets are included, but you must bring your own pillows, linens and towels. Linens however, are available at the main lodge for a small fee. Cabins also include showers.

I sent Kevin at Fernleigh an email to find out about the BBQ's.

Linens? I'm taking a sleeping bag... and my stuffed bear... and a case of beer.

Walleye Lures? Jigs and stinger hooks to use with minnows. A bottom bouncer or two is a good idea - use them with a spinner and minnow, or a crawler harness. Colours? Green, orange, pink

Pike Lures? Got to have some shallow running cranks like minus 1's or Big o's, Husky Jerks are good too. Of course, a few spinner baits are required.

If you feel you are lacking in the tackle department, feel free to take a peak in my tackle box and borrow what you need.
