A regular complaint by pike/muskie anglers is that the large flies can be a pain to cast. With all of the synthetic materials available it is easy to tie lighter flies that still have the large silhouetted bodies that you need.
While flashy profile files were initially developed for saltwater fishing, it's obvious that they are well suited to pike/muskie as well. The following is a link to the article.
