DEALER INQUIRIES WELCOME

Huskie Muskie Leaders is wholly owned Bill Fuller, a member of Muskies Canada, and is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Bill is a firm believer of catch and release. The way we handle muskies and the equipment we use are important in ensuring live releases. As a result, he has come to realize that good strong leaders are just as essential to Muskie fishing, as a good landing net and the proper tools for releasing a fish once caught.

The methods and materials that go into Huskie Muskie Leaders are not unique. They have been adapted from a variety of sources. Bill believes that his leaders however have incorporated the best of materials with a melding of the best methodologies to produce the most muskie friendly leaders on the market today.

The Review:
If you're looking for strong, durable, and resilient leaders for musky and pike fishing, then Husky Muskie has it all going on.

We tested 3 types of leaders this year and each of them performed very well.

The 150lbs fluorocarbons, in both casting and trolling lengths proved to be strong, resistant to abrasion, low memory when coiled up, and worked the baits very well. These leaders are totally invisible under water and are actually safer for the fish in that they won't cut in, if for some reason they are wrapped up in them. The ball bearing swivels and stay-lok snaps, coupled with loop protectors allow the baits to work freely in the water, while at the same time providing the strength that's required to reel in that monster.

For additional casting benefits, we also looked at both the Titanium casting and Stainless Steel Jerk bait leaders. For myself, I didn't find much of a difference in using either of them alternately, but what really impressed me was the attention to detail with the shrink wrapping of the ends in order to avoid weed hookups and fraying of the titanium.

One of my biggest beefs with leaders used in the past, was that after a season of using them, and sometimes even half way through if I used them hard, was that they always lost their shape, got kinked, or broke at the loop. I really enjoyed the fluorocarbon make of the leader and the terminal tackle at each end of them. They gave me the confidence to work them hard, not worry about tackle mishaps, and fish spots I might otherwise shy away from.

Comments from other users of the leaders were positive as well and you can be sure they will continue to purchase Husky Musky Leaders for the monster fishing excursions. Check out some of the additional comments made here below. Thanks Bill, a great product indeed.
