Are they all split grips or does the 705CB come in Full Grip CORK ?
That might be a very good entry level cranking stick.
The 735C will probably be a good frogging rod and will look terrific with the JDM TD-Zillion 1516XXH
Almost a perfect color match .... http://www.japantackle.com/Daiwa/Daiwa_ ... TW2015.htm

I'm not sure that you could be a Dobyns Pro Staff but you would do well as a Daiwa Pro Staff. 8)

Pretty sure they are all split grip but we will find out soon enough.

I wish, its too bad Daiwa get more exposure here but there is still a lot of quality gear to choose from.

And here I thought this would be the post to brag about being in 1st place in Fantasy League lol! I guess Casey Ashley & Mike Iaconelli we're my best picks!

The classic is also about new products being unveiled.

As far as Ashley, happy he won the Classic on home waters, but the weigh-in was ridiculously slow, especially with that throw back video, what was the point of it? :?

Great classic nonetheless.

Best part was the Live action during the morning. Getting to see them fish the classic...
It's like Dave Mercer said, It's finally becoming spectator sport.

I would wait before posting to much stuff because there are still some work to be done. When everything is finalized and ready to hit the shelves, then an ''official'' thread will be communicated. The rods at the Bassmaster Classic are NOT available yet and might have some tweaks in models. To make sure we don't have any disappointment, I would wait for ''official'' releases  It is official that the rods will hit the stores very soon (as advertised at the Bassmaster Classic).

Looking at the final results,
even if you don't catch a single fish during the tournament, you're still awarded a 10,000$ Check, Decent if you ask me!

Jacob Powroznik, Rookie Angler of the Year and 5th Place on his first Classic... Watch out for this one!
Paul Mueller, Bass Nation Angler who's qualified through the Nation and now fishes the Elites, finishing 12th at the classic....
^ You know this guy is going to turn out a good angler when he shows up late at the Classic dinner still dressed in his cold weather gear and a fishing rod in hand :!:

Dedication

Yesss I'm a BASS - Nerd

Why wait ... We are speculating ahead of the "Official Release".
People are well aware of the advertising hype surrounding the Classic.
It's not going to sway anyone one way or another.

It's like Dave Mercer said, It's finally becoming spectator sport.
Dave is saying what the sponsors want him to say.
But I do agree that with todays technology, it is easier for it to become spectator freindly.
Here again, who will the sponsors want to follow? It all has to do with sponsorship dollars.
However, they will have to put on a better show for the weigh in.
It was somewhat interesting but very very slow. I could not watch the whole thing.

Sponsors will always run the show, they literally pay the bills... If you don't do them justice and they don't renew the following year ..Its over..
I'm not too disappointed, they could have worst sponsors... Talking about cereal and cleaning products during a fishing show would be worst..

As for the Live camera deal, I think they'll have to follow everyone, especially during the Classic, if someone was to have an epic day out on the water and no one was there to witness it, it would be a bummer... Like Aaron Martens and his Big Bass, the on board gopro didn't record any of it and he said it was one of his most intense battles to date, a 6+# fish hitting docks and pontoons trying to get off..
Anyways it's the future for BASS, from my point of view, which mainly consist of refreshing that Blog web page non-stop for a few pictures, this year's Classic was better than last years and it will surely continue in that fashion.

Sure there was some weird parts, some unnecessary parts... We must not forget that the classic show isn't solely for us but for the people who attend it, who spend money to visit it every year and follow it all over the US. If it was a quick weigh-in and scram kind of deal it would suck...
I watched a good part of it and there was a couple there that have been to 37 Classics..

As for the Emcee that BASS has now... Dave Mercer does a good job for what little he has to work with  ... 56 Anglers got out of their boats weighed their catch of the day and off they go to do it again. How much is there to say REALLY? Without being repetitive..
I couldn't do it... He's a lot better than Fish Fishburn... He's no where as gimmicky as Zona and he's Canadian.

We could come up with a list of things we'd like to see.
I'd like to see the entire day be Live filmed and the morning Launch ( Race to the spot part ) filmed.
Would make for some killer shots I'm sure..
