Renegade Bass Classic XIX Ottawa River: Request for Marshals

Post by RenegadeBass »

Renegade Bass is looking for Marshals (observers) for the 2014 Classic XIX Championship on the Ottawa River in Rockland on September 6th & 7th. This is your chance to spend 1 or 2 days on the water with a Renegade Bass team learning today's top bass fishing techniques. Teams will be holding nothing back in their attempts to win the Championship and you will have a front site to all the action.

The 2014 Renegade Bass Classic XIX is comprised of some of the best anglers in Ontario and Quebec including; 2014 Renegade Bass Team of the Year champions Andy Kinstler & David Roy, Q1 and Q4 winners David Chong & Doug Brownridge, Q2 winners Scott Bullen & Doug Bowes, Q3 winners Steve Barnett & Jack Levert, Q5 winners Jean-Charles Goulet & Pierre-Hugues Lussier, 2012 and 2013 back-to-back Classic champions Carl Roy & Eric Clemot, 2013 Team of the Year champions Jay McCormack and Mike Desforges, 2012 Team of the Year Champions Jean Martin Landry & Pat Milot, 2011 team of the Year Champions Kerry Clouthier and Ken Dagenais, 2011 Classic XVI champions Duane Clifton & Dave Western, 2010 Team of the Year champions Charles Sim & Nigel Touhey and Bob & Darren Izumi.

There is NO cost associated with being a marshal. You can volunteer for either day 1 or 2 days.

Fishing times are from 7 am to 4 pm on the Saturday September 6th and 7 am to 3 pm on the Sunday September 7th. Marshals are required to be at the Rockland town launch by 6 am.

Your responsibilities are simple, but very important. Marshal must be familiar with the on-the-water rules and report back to the tournament directory at the end of the day. On day 1, Marshals are assigned to boats randomly and on day 2 Marshals are put in the top placing boats from day 1. One of the Marshals could be in the boat with the team that wins the Ranger bass boat rigged with an Evinrude 225 HP E-Tec G2.

Please be aware that we do have a policy where Renegade Bass members, both past and present will not allowed to be a Marshal.

Not only is this a fantastic learning opportunity, all Marshals will receive a gift one of our series sponsors.

Marshals are asked to bring their own life jacket/PFD, dress appropriately and bring their own lunch and non-alcoholic drinks.

Anyone interested in participating can send an email to info@renegadebass.com including your full name and phone number so you can be contacted.

Thanks,
Renegade Bass

Thanks to all that have volunteered to be a Marshal for Classic XIX. We have received enough volunteers at this time and will unfortunately have to be turning people away from this opportunity.
