Nice fish!! I was Muskie fishing on the Rideau on Saturday in the same area you caught yours (by the looks of it) and a few other areads that have been productive for me in the past. As usual when I go Muskie fishing I didn't catch a Muskie, just a bunch of pike. Although I did see about a 15 - 20lb...

I agree with the other posts, get a bunk trailer, check to see if an electric trolling motor was previously installed and try to match the brand. Make sure you get a good trailer and a powerful enough trolling motor (65 lb should be plenty) because upgrading will cost you more. You may want to consi...

As Probassing says there are lots to choose from and they are all good. I fished the Silver series in Renegade last year and was very impressed in the organization and I have joined again this year. The silver series was less expensive and a good way to get into tournament fishing. If you want more ...

I sent an email to the company to ask about warranties and they said it exceeds all specifications for motor oil and that it would not void your warranty. I also saw a post on Bass Boat Central from a guy in the States who was running a 1992 175 Mariner that in his words coughed and sputtered and sm...

I have to disagree, I never used to use fluorocarbon until two years ago. It put more fish in the boat on the Bay Quinte than others in the boat using braided or mono. It made me a believer and my partners have converted too. Any edge you can use helps! I do agree that in muddy or tea stained waters...

I generally let my fish finder adjust everything automatically. The one thing I play with is the sensitivity and I usually lower it when in fish id mode because it thinks too much floating algae, leafs etc are fish. The other tips on the post pretty much sum up what you need to do to get arches when...

Gray scale is used to determine the hardness/softness of the bottom and to distinguish fish from the bottom. The thicker and darker the bottom image on your fish finder the harder the bottom. A soft mud bottom in deep water sometimes barely shows up. As for trying to get fish to show up as hooks you...

Sanctuary
Is the whole river a sanctuary until June or Just at Innisville? I heard some people were caught fishing in the sanctuary on the opening weekend and I was wondering where it starts?

fishing for Walleye
Day and nighttime fishing are both good but the methods and areas for catching fish differ. Also, the dawn and dusk bite is hard to beat. However, I would say on clear busy lakes there is no better time to fish Walleye than at night and in general Walleye are more active at night. My vote is night.....
