Weren't most of use trolling for eye's on quinte using downrigger rods. We had the option of downrigging, planer boarding, or flatlining. An all rounder, cheap although of course there's far superior rods to be had.

Another item which is often neglected is the water impeller... it doesn't need to be checked every year but is an item that should be replaced from time to time. Checking it requires the lower unit to be removed.

You may also find it hard to tighten down to whatever you connect the drill to... if it gets stuck it may just spin on the shaft.
