Hi Mr.J. - I know a lot of people frown on composite props, but I have been running a Piranha 14x19 4 blade for several years now and have no complaints. My ride is an 186 Princecraft with a Johnson 140hp-4ST (Suzuki) + 9.9 hp-4ST kicker - the boat is rated for 150hp, and in fact I ran a 150 Evinrud...

An excellent report as usual Superdad - thanks for sharing. I get my boat out of storage next week, and may make a trip to the Big O the following week - the glorious day from last year is still vivid in my mind - can't wait.

I have used just about about everything mentioned so far, but when I first stared fishing walleye my two "go to baits" were a small flatfish and a small canadian wriggler - both with a gob of worm on the rear hook and pulled behind a bottom bouncer - AND I STILL USE THEM FROM TIME TO TIME.

Welcome aboard and enjoy. With reference to your motor size - what is your boat's maximum HP rating - I would not go larger than stated HP limit, and for general use would prefer not go less than 75% of this limit ie if boat is rated for say 40 HP motor - look at motors between 30-40 HP for maximum ...

I also would vote for Shimano Stradic as they have recently been updated - one of my fishing buddies has one, and I think they are now as good as my older Sustains, and I paid a lot more money. Just get the right size for the intended use.

Hi Superdad, I guess I've sort of become the lead (with Eye-trackers guidance) in trying to start an official new walleye fishing club in the Ottawa area to be known as Ottawa Region Walleye League or O.R.W.L. As we are just starting up, we have placed no geographical limits on who can join - the on...

Re: HDS-7

I purchased an HDS 7 at the boat show from Le Baron. Checked around and the deal they had at the boat show was no tax and 10% off with the Le Baron card. This was the best deal I could find. Figured I saved between $150 and 200$. The rep also said there were Product Emulators on the Lowrance site. ...
