Re: Sonar with Navionics plus and downscan.
Go Garmin Echo Map Plus (or any unit up from there) and you'll be ready for livescope when the $ is right. PanOpitx is just now starting to come down with $200 rebate on it. Good call reefhawg! In hind sight we wishing we'd gone for the insulated one to keep condensation down as well the obvious increased warmth on coldest outings. Also, the anchor lines are cheap (only cheap...

Re: Hard water 2020
itching to go. I've watched way too many youtube videos of people on early ice with 3 inches. 5 inches + was what I was waiting for.
I bet those guys on constance got into some.
Cheers

Re: Kasshabog Lake
I fished it for muskie about 15 years ago. Quite a nice lake with lots of different water (shallow weeds to rocky cliffs). If I recall the east end is a bit more shallow and weedy. Re: Shirleys Hardwater Decline
I was out last Sunday 18 to 20 inches. We were not out too far,.. 6tf of water. I walked but three trucks came out. One quite far.
Going tomorrow. I expect the ice to be the same as last weekend with this past weeks cold evenings.
