Re: Jigging for eyes
The way I bottom bounce or even troll from a canoe. 1) I use an 8 foot rod. I like the rod out on the left side and that is the side I can paddle on for miles. 2) I use a rod holder. You could attach it directly to the canoe but it may be in the way when you or others use the canoe for other purpos...

Re: Opimika Wilderness Camps/Cottages
Hi Eric in that neck of the woods I've fished the Marten River and Red Cedar Lake. Both were good, although I preferred Red Cedar. We stayed at Red Cedar Lake Camp, if I was to go back there, I'd stay at one of the other facilities on that lake. This link http://getnorth.com/ shows you tons of plac...

Re: Opimika Wilderness Camps/Cottages
How about Lake Kipawa in Quebec directly due east, just as big and probably better fishing, Yep, barely 20 minutes from the border to Kipawa. Hey Scuro do you still go up there anymore, I know you used to? For me it's been too long for my liking. Sure do miss my many trips. If anyone ever goes up t...

Opimika Wilderness Camps/Cottages
http://opimikawilderness.com/ Anyone know of this place? I did a search, and with the exception of 'saskie', no one else mentions it. It's a 5hr drive from Ottawa, just north west of Temiscaming. Are there other 'wilderness camps' close to there, *known* to be good? Any help would be appreciated. Th...

Re: Contact info for Baitshop in Waba
Morris is in the hospital as far as I know. He was talking about opening up for minnows again in the spring but that's not a done deal by any stretch. He's getting pretty old now and it's getting rather hard to put the work in to trap his minnows. Cheers Morris Stewart (aka Old Man Minnow). Sorry t...
