Well I'll throw out the Moultrie I-40. The camera I have is 4 MP but takes decent quality pics and video (something I've yet to do but I know at least 3 people who have used the video feature). The nice thing is you don't break the bank on them as you can get them for $179 on sale occassionally at B...

Bagged two jakes my first year and my first Tom in my second year which was last year! Not bad considering I got out for only 2 days last year. Looking forward to Spring. Only advice I'll give, don't over think the whole thing. Find the birds and work them. You don't necessarily need to find their r...

Definitely use USPS hands down. The one thing to consider, ask them about USPS (air) vs USPS (ground) sometimes the difference is minimal and worth a few extra bucks to get it here faster. I have had far too many parcels sent this way like, I just recieved a meat grinder through the USPS ground serv...

Nice work with the Lakers Steve. Port Hope's picking up good now. HOW CAN YOU TELL WHETHER A LAKER IS STOCKED OR NATURAL? Is there a marking on them? Does the MNR mark them in some way so we can differentiate from a natural or stocked fish? Tom, they clip a front ventral fin. Very noticable when you...

Port Hope fishing..

Well what a day and a half of fishing that was. I've been dying to get down there and my chance finally came. Brian wanted to get away somewhere for a few days and, I had two days to go fishing so, off we went full of anticipation and ready to put in two full days of fishing. We trailered down to hi...

For Specks and Bows I have to put a word in for Sutton West River Spoons. Deadly for shallow water Specks especially. More specificlly, 5-15 ft. I am particular to the 44's in hammered brass and silver or the 72's in flat silver. These are presented by taking off the treble, attaching 16" of fl...

Hey Jay,

how's things? I was just discussing the Gouin this week with folks at work.

I'd love to join you, Bill and Brian up there but, the timing's bad for me, family time and all that you know.

Should be a whale of a trip though. Maybe next time.

Only managed 1 fish today... it's a nice one though. Two others broke my line... oh well. It was a nice day. Don't know what it weighed, but it measured 28.5". It'll taste good tonight. http://www.fish-hawk.net/photogallery/albums/userpics/Mixed_pics_488.jpg http://www.fish-hawk.net/photogalle...

Hey Wall-I did you consider any other wood or just go grab some pine? I have though of Cedar and Balsam but i dont want them to sit too high up. What brand of paint/varnish did you use and how many coats? Mike Hi Mike, I went in and got "knot-less" pine which costs more but worth it in th...
