The cottages are 3 bedroom. 1 queen bed in the master bedroom. Single over double bed in the second room and single over single bunk in the third room. So they can sleep 5 guys with each guy getting their own bed. (If you are like sheldon and Gordo and like to snuggle they can sleep more lol). You c...

Almonte, LOL. I try pretty hard to keep good relations with the other guides and operators in the area. I won't run down another guide service or operator, and I try not to over self promote or saturate boards with posts about my service. I also do not intentionally undercut prices of fellow operato...

Sorry, I should have been clearer. The price of $329 mid week and $349 weekend is a per person price for the whole package based on 4 guys.

The $159 price is per night for the cottage. Includes. 3A or 2A and 2children.

The last two years the winner has been out of Picton. The winning Pike is normally out of the west end, but last year that too came out of Picton off the cement plant. It was 19.9 lbs if I remember correctly.

RJ, your right I just looked up the price again on cabelas and the $349 price is 250lb line. The lighter line is much cheaper. I have been ordering it through Cabelas the last few years, because it is so much less then ordering it here. The cost of Power Pro and Fireline went up significantly this y...

This is no joke guys. You can read the interim report here http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/ceq/initiatives/oceans/interimreport If this passes in the US you know it won't be long before our government looks at it here. Crazy world we live in that this can actually be a serious considera...

Great article on spring browns in the new "Great Lakes Angler" magazine.

They have a list and pictures of the best lures for spring browns. Interesting read and well worth the cover price for those that were asking questions.

Look at Tuf-line braid. Awesome stuff, made by Western Filaments which is who made Power Pro. So Tuf-line is basically the same thing as Power Pro but for what Power Pro used to cost so about half the price as it is now. Great product at a great price. Fireline and Power pro went stupid expensive th...

Dan Smyth, That is awesome. What a fun job. Although I guess its probably like everything the novelty wears off. If I could relive my late teens and early twenties, I would get a job on one of the big yachts in the caribbean as a first mate. You can make good coin and live on a phenomenal boat all e...

Boat Simulator

I just got back from my SVOP course. This is a Small Vessel Operator Proficiency course that was mandated by Transport Canada for Guides as of Nov 2009. Anyway, it was at Georgian College in Owen Sound. The highlight of the course for me was being able to use their $9 million simulator. The have 5 b...

Hookup, if your buddy is seriously intested let me know ASAP so I can hold a spot. 10 of the 12 spots are full, so we only have 2 spots left. I have ads running in Big Jim's Magazine and in Ontario out of Doors, so I think they will go fast. Looking forward to the institute. Its a ton of fun. Scott
