Re: Walleye on the Rideau - Ottawa
Other places on Rideau river to catch walleyes: long island locks in manotick, blacks rapids, brewer park, new Edinburgh park. Most luck I have had is at sundown,if ur lucky walleyes will roam in.

Re: Walleye on the Rideau - Ottawa
When the Rideau is high its usually muddy, very hard fish when its like that. For walleyes u should stick to the Ottawa, much more stable fishing. Rideau is GREAT for sb and big muskies

Re: Do fish finders scare fish - Ice fishing specifically?
I am more concerned about the abrupt, loud noises( ie. Auging a hole, driving on the ice)more then the rythmic clicking of a depth finder. However, fish may be sensitive to the clicking if they are around it enough. Either way my unit will remain on, I'd rather miss a couple fish that are noise shy ...

Cabelas or bps store?
Anyone have an update on if and when one of these stores is set to arrive, and also if they will be having any job fairs?

Re: Secret spot survey"
Personally I don't mind giving out most spots around here because they are not very secret. But If I trekked 3 hours into the bush to get me some trouties, my lips would be sealed tighter than a basses in a cold front

Minnows?
Just wondering with bits and baits being closed this year what everyone is planning to do for minnows? I will be fishing Petrie island much more, Shirley's bay only when I have dead minnows. Might even get frozen bait from a fish market if I'm desperate.

Once the temps go down the fishing should get better. 3 or 4 weeks i'm hoping the fishing will pick up nicely it usually does when the leaves turn color.

I really like the next bite they have the best animations that explain what the presentations look like under water. Also if you want a laugh check out the bill dance blooper reel on youtube. It had me in tears!!!
