They're a bunch of irrational losers. I'm willing to bet that fishermen and hunters contribute WAY more money to the conservation and restoration of our outdoors than does peta.

I've fished the mississipi river before, arround the galleta area and I've never caught a largemouth there. For me, it's all been smallies, pike and the occasional walleye.

on our very own ottawa river. right downtown. just about any calm bay will do, but i find the spot right in front of the heating and cooling plant to be the best.

makes me wonder if that strain could be introduced up here...probably not with our climate but sure would be nice... i've actually thought about this before. i think the only way to do it would be to hybridize the florida strain bass with our native ones. that way, if all works out well, the offspr...

Hang a minnow below a float, and it shouldn't take too long. The average one is well over 35inches.

Does anyone ever go out targeting specifically gar? I've done it a few times over the past several weeks and it's been great.

Don't know why more people don't fish for them. They put up a great fight and me thinks they're one of the neatest looking fish out there.
