Re: Looking for feedback (Small boat and trolling motor?'s)
I have owned a 12' car topper, own a lightweight canoe and have one of those "plastic boats" You mentioned stability and I promise you that nothing will come close to the plastic boats. I own and love my pelican predator but it's weight means you would most likely need a tiny jet ski trail...

Re: Snap Rap/Jigging Rap VS Buckshot
It's only confusing for the first day, after that you will honestly be ruined. I'm trying to think of something to compare it to but can't come up with anything.
I have always loved ice fishing long before I owned a flasher. Now, I would have a hard time going without one.

Re: Snap Rap/Jigging Rap VS Buckshot
I am one of the few that doesn't tip jigging spoons but I fish mainly for lakers through the ice. I always use fluorocarbon leaders, always use a micro swivel (jigging creates line twist) to connect to the mainline and where you set your bait depends on the species you target. Make sure to experimen...

Re: Silver Lake Ice Report
Well thanks for posting your findings. Hopefully that will save someone else from driving down only to turn around. I found silver to be behind many lakes I fish last year as well.
I was on a small lake west of calabogie a few days back that had 7" of fantastic ice. Gotta do your homework!

Re: Can't figure out the Fall pattern!
Where I fish for largies in the fall, rocks seem to be the ticket. Rock and weed is great but I have less luck in weeds if no rock is nearby. It can be a strange time of year and can vary from one body of water to another. I fish 2 lakes quite a bit in the fall. Mid November I target smallmouth in 2...

Re: 7.3 AKA 7lbs 5oz
Congratulations bud!! That thing looked like a giant in the livewell. If it's easy enough, maybe just edit the video so you take that 1 landmark out of it? Unless you don't mind 10x the traffic next year. :-) E I appreciate your concern Eric. That said, I'm confident that nobody can tell what lake ...

Re: 7.3 AKA 7lbs 5oz
Yes it's my personal best by a long shot. She was extremely thick across the back and had a good gut. Not sure how much weight she can put on before the winter, maybe a few ounces. Anyone who has a good idea of what they are doing stands a chance at a fish like this. I was in the right place at the ...

7.3 AKA 7lbs 5oz (NOW WITH ORIGINAL PHOTO)
NEW ORIGINAL PHOTO ADDED After spending most of the season in my bass boat—scouring the depths of local lakes in search of lake trout—I was soon faced with that all too familiar feeling. It starts off as an innocent tingle but left untreated is sure to spread like wild fire and burn just as hot. Yu...

Re: lac poisson blanc
Fished it once planning to jig it for lakers. Being unfamiliar with the lake it was more than a challenge. Extremely deep in areas and most of the lake trout I marked were suspended over deep water.
Not much of a help but that is my 2 cents.
