I wasn't looking forward to this trip to Cuba as a possible basted and roasted piece of lard but now this is looking good. Possible great bass fishing, a charter for some deep sea fishing, and bone fishing which may be the best of all experiences. Meanwhile, the wife and kids will be happy at the re...

My wife wanted to go to Cuba but I am sure she would be happy with any nice resort in any southern local. I would be happy to fish while on vacation and hopefully I can still find a place which doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We were looking at Cuba because she has been there before. I have heard tha...

bonefishing -

My wife desperatly wants to go down south this winter, I'm not the "lie on the beach" type of guy but then I read Steve Brunt's Sat. column on Bone fishing and I see possibilities. Could a bottom feeder give a hundred yard tears where you lose one out of four fish? This from a five pounder...

I have seen both a nice salmon and a good sized pike get away by netting from the front. One of the hooks from the treble hook gets stuck in the net and then the fish thrashes and the next thing you know the fish is gone. I net from the rear with a rising action as I get closer to the front of the f...

Call it some male thing but there is nothing I like better then to chuck a piece of metal deep into the misty morning and hear my line whirl off of the spinning reel. Love it when it goes out of sight and then you hear that splash that you can't see. Better yet is that large fish grabbing hold of yo...

GPS Bathometric Maps

Okay...you got me drooling. What was the scale of that map and the brand name? What GPS system does it work with and can you buy for all of Ontario?

And finally what is the cost?

Happy you got your first?.....I'm thinking I can't live without two. :P

Actually, I'm thinking there will probably be a new generation of GPS's with much more detail. I'll wait to buy my second until them.

No complaints here with the ifinder. Get ifinder pro it has a better processor which is noticabe with the refreshment speed. The card with the map of Southern Ontario covers pretty well any where you will fish in Ontario. It covers almost all the way up to James Bay, I believe most of Nipogon and ac...

Hey Bunk,

Thought I would finally join this forum. It's Chris of Kesagami. Wonderful pics and I'm happy for you....but I can relate to the guy in picture four. That guy probably had his lure dangling INCHES away from that fishes nose!!!!
