Well my FL-8 Vex doesn't seem to be working, does not turn on and battery is charged. So I am looking to buy a new flasher for this winter. One company sells just the head units so I can use my existing transducer and Genz pack and save some money. I am considering getting an FL-12 to replace my fl-...

Your "Drachko" rig is similar to a "quick strike" rig commonly used for pike, but a quick strike has 1 single hook and 1 treble hook, for a total of 4 hook points. In Ontario the maximum number of hooks you can have is 4. The Ontario fishing regulations use to state that for a ba...

I've been using a couple Browning Superlight reels for walleye, worked well for Quinte last year. I just picked up a pair of Mitchell Avocet II spinning reels on the weekend (8 bearings) and 4 custom 32" med-heavy Rovic Rods for Quinte walleye and northern laker this year. Where can you buy the...

I'm no expert on tournament logistics or tournament finances or sponsorship but it could work. I would think there would be 50 teams interested, but maybe not? Petawawa has a good facility for a large tournament and a great area to fish. When the Ontario Bass Federation had the Provincial Qualifier ...

I'm hopefully heading back down in a couple weeks, hoping for clouds and cooler temps.

Nice to see ya finally got down TMH..... You did pick a tougher time to go down it appears.....some of the guides really struggled to put alot together during that time period.....though some nice big fish were landed! One thing I'd suggest.....bottom out on your lower end of your sonar at 60 feet....
